Get clear, beautiful skin once and for all! (What to look for in an aesthetician )

When I was a teenager, I had HORRIBLE skin.  My face was riddled with acne and scars.  I jumped from dermatologist to dermatologist to find that one person who could give me clear, beautiful skin.  However, it wasn’t until I was able to afford regular facials and skin treatments did my skin started to drastically improve.  Finding that perfect aesthetician wasn’t an easy fete either.  When I moved to the Washington, DC area years ago, I finally found the best person who was able to suit me and my needs. Now, I have people asking ME what I am doing to make my skin look so great.  So, I want to share with you some of the key things that led me to this wonderful resource, ONE of the secrets in my arsenal.  Oh BTW, her name is Germaine Williams, at the Red Bloom Spa in Bethesda, Maryland!

Knowledge-Does your aesthetician have a working knowledge of products, procedures and skin conditions?  More importantly, does he or she know what specific things will work for your unique skin type?  What works for one does not work for all.

Cleanliness-Is their spa/work station clean and organized?  Also, does he or she take time and care in their personal appearance and cleanliness?

Professionalism-Is he or she punctual and professional?  Are you kept waiting even though you are on time for your appointments?

Great Chemistry-To me, this is very important Do you genuinely like this person?  Could you see yourself going out to lunch or grab a cup of coffee with this individual?  You don’t have to be best friends but you should at least feel comfortable to carry on a decent conversation with your aesthetician.  It really makes a difference!  What do you look for in an aesthetician?
