Good Morning! Puffy Face? Try this….
You wake up after a good night’s sleep. Your body feels great, you feel nice and rested. But then you take a look in the mirror and your face looks like it’s been beaten overnight by your pillow! I don’t know about you, but the morning, puffy face is NOT A GOOD LOOK. It’s natural (unless you suffer from a medical condition or on certain medications) because fluid accumulates in your face while you are lying down overnight. However, there are some things you can do to take down the morning swelling.
Change Your Diet
Dehydration can be the cause of your puffy face. Drink more water, eat more fruits and vegetables with a high water content and avoid caffeinated beverages and alcohol. If you decide to drink a glass of wine or two at night with dinner, drink a couple of extra glasses of water afterwards to offset the alcohol.
Chill Your Moisturizer
Put your facial moisturizer or creme in the fridge for a few hours before you apply it to your face. It will be a cool and refreshing way to set your make-up and will also take down the puffiness.
Preparation H will work in the same way. I mentioned using Preparation H in an earlier post to take down your undereye bags. You can also chill this hemorrhoidal cream to take down your swelling and tighten your face. The things we are willing to do for beauty! LOL
Slice Up a Cucumber
This is an oldie but goodie. Buy a cucumber and put it in the fridge overnight. In the morning, cut the cucumber into thin slices and place them onto a plate. Lie down with the cool, cucumber slices on your face for at least 10 minutes. Your face will thank you for it.
