A Brighter Complexion in Four Days
Everyone wants a bright and glowing complexion. It’s a sign of youth and beauty. Make-up can help….but who wants to pile on a ton of make-up if you don’t have to? You can spend hundreds of dollars on microdermabrasion and glycolic peels. Or…you can make minor adjustments to your skin care routine.
1. Watch what you eat: What you put into your body makes a big difference in your complexion. Stay away from greasy foods or desserts high in sugar. Your skin’s best friends are foods like salmon, nuts, and flax seed. They are high in essential fatty acids which increases your skin’s collagen levels and cell formation. In short, eating foods high in essential fatty acids helps to slow down your skin’s aging process.
2. Boost your skin’s moisture level: I know it’s tough to stay out of the sun as we head into the summer months. But if you must take advantage of nature’s biggest source of Vitamin D, slather on the moisturizer and a protective sunscreen. Dermatologists strongly recommend using a sunscreen with an SPF 15 or greater year-round for all skin types. Use your moisturizer faithfully both day and night for best results. Also, you don’t need the sun in order to apply sunscreen. Even on a cloudy day 80 percent of the sun’s ultraviolet rays pass through the clouds.
3. Try Neutrogena Visibly Bright Daily Facial Cleanser:
This is the newest addition to my skin care routine. The label says in just four days, you will be on your way to a brighter complexion. This cleanser contains Soy and Vitamin C, which has been proven to fight off signs of aging and also acts as a natural skin brightening agent. I can personally say that I’ve seen a noticeable difference in my skin’s complexion. Not only does this cleanser smell great…but it really does live up to its promises.
